Our Investment Thesis
We invested in Recovered Carbon Black because it turns a major waste problem into a valuable industrial product. Every year millions of tires reach the end of their life and are difficult to recycle. Recovered Carbon Black takes these used tires and converts them into high quality carbon black that can be used in tires, plastics, coatings, inks and many other products. This allows manufacturers to replace fossil based materials with recycled ones without sacrificing performance.
Traditional carbon black production relies on oil and produces high emissions. Recovered Carbon Black offers a cleaner alternative that reduces waste, lowers carbon emissions and supports a circular economy. This makes the company well aligned with global sustainability goals and with customer demand for greener supply chains.
A key strength of the company is its technology. Recovered Carbon Black has co developed a patented refining and cleaning process in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics. This process removes ash and other impurities from the raw recovered material and produces a product with more than 96 percent carbon content that meets industrial standards. This gives the company a strong technical advantage and supports consistent product quality.
The market for sustainable materials is growing quickly, and regulations are pushing industries to reduce waste and emissions. With proven technology, strong partners and a clear environmental and economic benefit, we believe Recovered Carbon Black is well positioned to become a leading supplier of recycled industrial materials.
